Domain Timber’s experience in the timberland and rural real estate markets led to opportunities for investment in environmental markets and other related environmental assets.
Domain Timber’s environmental investment strategy works to identify appropriate opportunities and capitalize on their environmental attributes. This is generally accomplished through the creation of wetland and/or stream mitigation banks, habitat conservation banks or through implementing other ecosystem restoration projects that can enhance real estate value.
Domain Timber currently manages multiple investment portfolios with approximately $135 million dedicated to this asset class. These portfolios include investments in multiple asset types in multiple geographic regions. Domain Timber believes that this portfolio footprint positions the firm as one of the largest investment managers both in terms of assets under management and number of projects within the mitigation industry.
